The Challenge
Their company had a number of employee’s who had created various apps and data flows however they understood the potential risk of data leaving their organisation, therefore they wanted a tool to provide them with an insight into the number of apps and flows active within their organisation, the connectors they use and which of those connectors may have an associated risk.
Our Approach & Solution
In order to gain some initial metrics regarding power platform related tools within the organisation, we implemented an existing Power BI solution readily available from Microsoft’s website. We then tailored the report to generate information regarding the clients power platform environments. We then further enhanced the report to include additional information by categorising connectors and visualising the number of environments, application and flows that utilise connectors from more than one environment, providing insight by displaying top level information with the ability for users to drill-through per environment to see underlying information.
