Policies and Procedures - Power Apps with SharePoint Documents Library
The client wanted an application to effectively manage their companies policies and procedures from within a SharePoint documents library.

The Challenge
They wanted the application to provide the intuitive addition, categorisation, modification and filtering of documents. They wanted a specific aesthetic to fit their company’s intranet site and allow users to preview documentation, and select it to open on SharePoint. They also wanted permissions in place to control who had the ability to add new items via the application.
Our Approach & Solution
In order to accomplish the intended requirements, we worked with a UX designer to decide upon the interface for the front-end. Once the designs were signed off with the client we went about creating the front-end using Power Apps; we then linked the application to an underlying SharePoint documents library using Power Automate to interact with SharePoint’s RESTful API, this allowed for the creation and updating of files directly from the application, as well as the ability to view the first page of each file as a thumbnail.
